Questions, bugs, or feedback? Email stoqn780@gmail.com and I’ll get back to you, usually within a couple of days.
How often should I scan? Once a day, at roughly the same time and in the same lighting. Consistency is what makes your measurements comparable — a scan in morning bathroom light and one in evening lamplight aren’t measuring the same thing.
Why won’t the capture ring fill? Proof only captures when the conditions are good enough to measure honestly. The on-screen guidance tells you what to adjust — usually distance, lighting, or head angle. Bright, even, indirect light works best; strong side-lighting and dim rooms are the usual culprits.
Why do I need a baseline before running experiments? Skin varies day to day for reasons that have nothing to do with your products. Proof measures your normal range first, so that when something does change, it can tell you whether the change is real or just ordinary variation.
Where are my photos stored? On your iPhone, and nowhere else. All image analysis happens on your device. See the privacy policy for details.
How do I delete my data? Settings → Delete everything. This permanently removes all scans, photos, and history from your device.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription? Subscriptions are handled by Apple: iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Proof Skin. You can cancel there anytime, and you’ll keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Is Proof a medical device? No. Proof measures cosmetic appearance relative to your own baseline. It doesn’t diagnose or treat anything. If you have a skin health concern, please see a dermatologist.
